Dear colleagues

It is a pleasure to announce, after lengthy delay, the publication of the Proceedings of the IAHR World Congress held in Durban in 2000. The Durban 2000 Proceedings, edited by Profs. Rosalind I. J. Hackett and Michael Pye, are now freely available on-line at http://www.iahr.dk/proceedings.html Thanks are extended to the two editors as well as to the IAHR Publications Officer, Prof. Brian Bocking. Approximately 100 copies of the Proceedings in book form will be distributed over the coming months to major libraries world-wide. Copies of the book are currently being shipped to a number of libraries in Southern Africa. Member associations elsewhere are kindly invited to nominate up to two suitable national or university libraries in their own country to receive a copy of the Proceedings volume. The intention is to provide at least one copy to a library in each country represented in the IAHR. Your suggestions of suitable recipient libraries (with each library’s full mailing address) should be sent by June 30th 2010 to the IAHR Publications Officer, Prof. Brian Bocking at b.bocking@ucc.ie Please note that the print version of the Proceedings will not be available for purchase by individuals. For individual use, please refer to the web version. The Proceedings of the 2005 Tokyo World Congress will be completed shortly, and a separate announcement will be made regarding that publication. NB: Please communicate this message to the individual members of your association if at all possible, e.g. via email or a website of yours. Looking forward to meeting you in Toronto.

Sincerely

Tim Jensen, IAHR Secretary General
